New Ration Cards to Be Issued from Ugadi!
Telangana government announces the issuance of new ration cards starting from Ugadi. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy approves the design, including a QR code and photos of the CM and Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy. The new ration cards will be provided to all eligible individuals, with applications being accepted through Mee Seva centers.

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has provided an update regarding the issuance of new ration cards. The government has announced that new ration cards will be issued starting from Ugadi. Additionally, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy approved the design for the new ration card on Tuesday. The new ration card will be in light blue color, and the CM has instructed the officials to proceed accordingly. The new design will feature photos of both Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy. A QR code will also be included on the new ration card.
Even those who already possess ration cards will be provided with new ones. Currently, there are 80 lakh white ration cards in the state. CM Revanth Reddy has instructed the officials to provide new ration cards to all of them. Eligible individuals can apply for new ration cards at Mee Seva centers, as per the government's instructions. As a result, people have been lining up at Mee Seva centers. Since the ration card is a crucial document for accessing welfare schemes offered by both the central and state governments, there has been a surge in applications for the new ration cards.
Ugadi festival will be celebrated on March 30 this year. On that day, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will officially kick off the process of issuing new ration cards. CM Revanth Reddy has decided that every eligible household should be provided with a ration card. Applications for new ration cards are pouring in across Telangana. Applications have been collected through Prajavani, Gram Sabhas, and Mee Seva centers. According to officials, around 1.3 million applications have been received for the new ration cards so far.
